About the reference identity
Four letters describe the reference sequence
Epithalon also appears in chemical records as Epitalon. Its reference sequence is Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, abbreviated AEDG: alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and glycine. It is therefore a tetrapeptide, a chain of four amino acids. The alternate spelling and sequence provide two ways to locate the same reference record.
